First Baptist Church
The goal of our youth ministry is to help our middle and high school students connect to God through worship, Bible study, prayer, and to connect with each other by building healthy friendships that will last a lifetime. We strive to accomplish this goal by providing weekly opportunities for worship gatherings and small group Bible study, as well as trips, events, and mission opportunities throughout the year.
Each class is designed to help members better understand the Bible and how it applies in our lives today. Sunday School begins at 10:00 each Sunday morning and is open to everyone. Classes are divided into four main classes, middle school girls and boys, and high school girls and boys. Youth Sunday School meets in the South Hall.
Sunday Evening Discipleship
Sunday Evening Discipleship begins at 4:30 on Sunday afternoons. This time begins with an hour of recreation, followed by food and fellowship at 5:15, before concluding with a time of large and small group discipleship classes. Sunday Evening Discipleship is for all middle and high school students and meets in the South Hall.
On Wednesday nights we have a time of large group worship. During this time, we seek to create an atmosphere where students are welcome to come and hear about Jesus Christ. Wednesday night is for all middle and high school students and meets at 6:30 pm in the Fellowship Hall. This large group worship features a youth-led worship band and Bible based talks directed at a teenage audience.
